ALLERGY TESTING identifies foods, drinks, additives, chemicals, dust, pollens, animal hairs and other substances that may be causing you health concerns. The test is non-invasive, safe and suitable for all ages. Symptoms of allergy can be varied and non-specific, such as tiredness, headaches, rashes, running nose, muscle/joint pain, irritability, or simply never feeling very well. Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Chron’s disease, migraine, eczema, asthma, and hayfever sufferers can also find allergy testing and treatment helpful. I have been counselling since 1999 and am registered and accredited with BACP. I gained my postgraduate diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Trent University, Nottingham. My background is steeped in the community, working with children and young people in Special Needs, Adventure Play and in Community Centres. I started counselling young people in Leicester, in an unemployment project and then in secondary schools and a PRU with excluded young people. I am interested in and experienced in cross-cultural counselling as many of my clients came from a wide range of countries, cultures and faiths. When I moved to Wales 10 years ago, I worked at Coleg Ceredigion, further education college in Aberystwyth and more recently with a bereavement project here in North Wales. I work with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationships, self-harm, low self-esteem, sleeping and eating disorders, suicidal thoughts, sexual and physical abuse, identity, bereavement and loss. and those living with cancer. I work with the whole person and whatever the client brings, we decide together how best to approach your issues. Whether it’s a current distress or past trauma or you want to make changes in your life that need support. I am person-centred in my philosophy and approach and believe that we are all capable of becoming our true selves and improving our lives with support and under the right conditions.
Homeopathy is one of the most widely used forms of medicine in the world today. It is a complete system of medicine that has been in use for over 200 years. Homeopathy seeks to treat the cause of illness, by strengthening each individual (physically, mentally and emotionally) and enabling the body to heal itself. It is: Safe, Non-addictive, Non-toxic. I have been working as a homeopath in the North Wales area since 2001. People of all ages and with a wide variety of symptoms come to me for treatment. I am registered with the ‘Alliance of Registered Homeopaths’; a professional body that binds its members by a professional code of ethics and practice. I regularly update my learning with further training in homeopathy and holistic health approaches. I offer short appointments (15 – 20 mins) for acute conditions and full consultations (1.5 hours) for more chronic ailments. If you are unsure about the length of appointment you will need or have a question related to your particular symptoms, please contact me to have a chat. No obligation. I offer a relaxed yet professional service and welcome the opportunity to help you discover a simpler, more complete way to better health.

Hello, I offer counselling and psychotherapy to people experiencing personal distress, those seeking greater life direction and anyone who feels talking about a particular situation in a neutral, yet positive setting might be helpful. I work on the basis of seeking to facilitate understanding and insight. This is achieved through careful discussion of whatever it is that is of concern. The process is collaborative and explorative and there is an ongoing attempt to see things in the context of the 'whole person' (rather than the sometimes, limiting lens of the problem). Through this it is realistic to expect relief from troubling thoughts and feelings; greater perspective and clarity and, gradually, an easier relationship with yourself and enhanced capacity to navigate life's ebb and flow. This does however require effort on the part of the individual which may include facing difficulty, a high degree of personal honesty and assuming greater personal responsibility. Throughout my intentions are to create an environment where you will feel respected and supported in exploring whatever it is that you want; to hear and understand you at a level of depth so that in turn you may hear and understand yourself more completely and with greater appreciation; to communicate clearly and straightforwardly so that you are informed and empowered. If this sounds right for you or even if you're curious to know more then please do not hesitate to get in touch.

I am also working part-time for the NHS as a professional therapist; taking GP referrals etc. Before committing to any sessions with me, I would be happy to discuss any relevant issues, or answer any questions you may have. So, feel free to contact me directly. I believe quality counselling and psychotherapy should be as readily available to as many people as possible, therefore, I offer a limited number of free therapy spaces for those who can provide proof of being unwaged. Please contact me to discuss. There will usually be a waiting list for these free sessions.

Traditional Thai massage has a long history of therapeutic healing. Its origins go back to India over 2500 years ago, lying in Ayurvedic medicine and yoga. It is often known as Thai yoga massage. Thai massage is a holistic practice working physically on the whole body, and most importantly seeks to rebalance the flow of Prana (life force or Qi) that flows through us– supporting the body’s natural healing abilities, relieving pain and tension. The theoretical foundations of Thai massage are based on energy lines running through the body. When the energy lines become blocked, prana is unable to flow freely. Working on these lines through massage can break the blockages, stimulate the flow of prana, and help to restore general well-being. Blocked energy lines result in aches, pains and discomfort. Thai massage is unlike any other kind of massage. It is a combination of targeted acupressure and gentle yoga stretches, stimulating the energy lines, toning the muscles and tendons and opening the joints. Energising yet deeply relaxing, bringing the body into balance and harmony. It encourages us to slow down and settle into our bodies. It has a spiritual healing dimension and is not just a physical therapy. The massage is suitable for people of all ages and abilities. It can be varied to suit a wide range of physical needs, and can be used as a form of physical therapy to help increase range of motion and muscular strength. The client is fully clothed with the massage taking place on a mattress on the floor. Thai massage can help: • Back pain • Joint pain • Headaches/migraines • Stress and anxiety • Flexibility • Circulation • Digestion • Restore well-being Thai massage will be available at Axis Therapy from March 2015 For more information or to book a massage contact Tracey on 01766 770610 or 07809485323
